Half Silver Dollar

The span of years which the half silver dollar was produced is an impressive 170 years. From 1794 through 1964 the mintage included the ninety percent silver half dollars which are desirable not only because of their relative limited quantities but the bullion value which has played a significant role in the scarcity of the coins over the last half a century as well.

Roughly five decades ago people began to save their half silver dollar coins due to the fact that silver was gaining significant attention for not only its half dollar coin value but for the fact that people who owned these silver coins were able to use them as an investment as the price of silver continually rose at impressive levels over the years and this trend continues today.
